Frequently Asked Questions

Gameplay Gameplay

How do I play Cowboy Quick Shot?

Hold your phone upside down (screen facing down, top pointing toward the floor). Wait for the "DRAW!" signal, then quickly flip your phone to horizontal position. The game measures your reaction time to the millisecond!

What's considered a good reaction time?

Lightning Fast: Under 0.3 seconds - Elite Gunslinger
Quick Draw: 0.3-0.5 seconds - Seasoned Cowboy
Good Reflexes: 0.5-1.0 seconds - Deputy Material
Keep Practicing: Over 1.0 seconds - Rookie Gunslinger

What happens if I move too early?

That's called a "False Start" - just like in real Western duels! The game detects premature movement and won't count it as a valid draw. Wait for the "DRAW!" signal before moving your phone.

Technical Technical

The motion detection isn't working properly

Make sure you're holding your phone completely upside down (Y-axis reading should be around 1.0). The game requires a clear motion from vertical to horizontal position. Try calibrating in the Settings menu.

Can I adjust the sensitivity?

Yes! Go to Settings and adjust the motion sensitivity to match your preferred playing style. Higher sensitivity detects smaller movements, while lower sensitivity requires more deliberate motion.

Which devices are supported?

Cowboy Quick Shot requires iOS 18.2 or later and works on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. The game is optimized for iPhone but provides a great experience on all supported devices.

Multiplayer Multiplayer

How does multiplayer work?

Challenge friends nearby using wireless connectivity. One player hosts a local duel, others join wirelessly. No internet required - just make sure you're in range of each other!

Can I play with friends online?

Currently, multiplayer is local-only (same WiFi network or Bluetooth range). Online multiplayer may be added in future updates based on user demand.

What if multiplayer connection fails?

Make sure both devices have WiFi/Bluetooth enabled and are close to each other. Try restarting the game or toggling airplane mode on/off if connection issues persist.

Pro Tips for Faster Draws

1

Perfect Your Grip

Hold your phone firmly but relaxed. Too tight and you'll be slow to react, too loose and you'll drop it!

2

Stay Focused

Keep your eyes on the screen and your mind clear. Anticipation is key, but don't false start!

3

Practice Regularly

Like any skill, consistency is key. Practice a few minutes each day to improve your reaction time.

4

Find Your Rhythm

Everyone has their own optimal reaction window. Find yours and stick to it for consistent results.
